Field trip to Trade Affairs Ltd

Trade Affairs ltd
TCC Editorial crew

On Wednesday, 29th September 2021, the editorial crew paid a visit to the TRADE AFFAIRS LTD.

The aim of the visit was for an educational purpose, to observe how offset printing tasks are carried out.

Trade Affairs Ltd is a Printing Press located at Olorunsola Street off Olateju Street, Challenge Mushin. We met the Manager, Mr. SHOLA and the Industry supervisor, Mr ADAMS PEKUN who took the team round explaining what each of the printers does.

The printing job starts with laying of the design on the accepted paper format (which could be A0, A1 or A2) on a plate taking cognisance of the colors available in the design. The A2 printer is used for one colour printing while the Heidelberg 4 edge Offset printer is used to print 2 color designs.

In summary, it was a very insightful trip as Mr SHOLA and Mr Adams took their time to take us through every task required to produce a print copy of designs (booklets, invoice, labels, Products packs etc).

We were also given two books that were printed by Trade Affairs, as sourvenirs.🤗😎 We appreciate the management and staff of TRADE AFFAIRS LTD for the warmth reception and for their time; and our most profound gratitude goes to the Head, Digital Bridge Institute, DBI Lagos and MMT Dept on whose platform we operate. Thank you!
